Sliverstone Classics

Provisional dates have been announced, as Friday 30 July to Sunday 1 August. These will be confirmed only when the FIA confirm the Formula 1 calendar for 2021, something which usually happens in early December (and the announced dates are usually simply ratified).

Abarth Owners Club's booking of a Car Club display area has been carried forward from 2020. Those of you who bought tickets for the 2020 event and who did not ask for a refund will automatically be carried forward to 2021, and if you are in this category, there is nothing further you need to do. Those who do not have tickets can now buy them, with the lowest prices on offer for a limited period of time. To do so, you need to go to the event's own website. www.silverstoneclassic.com/tickets. To take advantage of the Car Club deal, which effectively halves the cost by offering you tickets on a 2 for 1 deal, you need to scroll down to the Car Club Display options. You will need the AOC-specific code, which is as it was in 2020, namely 2020CCD043. You will need to add this in the promotional code box just prior to the ‘PAY NOW’ button, which should halve the cost of your tickets. The best deal is for a 3-day ticket which is currently priced at £105, which gives you admission for 2 adults and a Car Club parking pass. You can select other options for 1, or 2 days.

There is so much to see, both as static displays from the Car Clubs, as well as full access to both paddocks and an amazing array of races that 1 day is far from enough to take it all in, so I really do encourage you to try to allocate more time than this if you possibly car. The Saturday is usually the busiest day with the largest Car Club displays, but even the Friday feels like a full event, with more than enough to see.

We can't promise that we will manage to secure a parade lap again, but we will of course try. We won't know if we've been successful and if we have, on which day it would be until around next April/May. Note that Car Club ticket sales will end on 31st May.

The organisers have stated that if Covid restrictions preclude the running of this event, then they will of course issue full refunds or allow people to carry their tickets forward to 2022. Let's hope that it does not come to this!
